Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting overview

xp_crypt_close_session

- Explicitly closes the current session

- Unloads opened keys and frees memory

You can use this function to release resources after you have finished your work with XP_CRYPT routines. If you do not close your session explicitly it will be implicitly closed by timeout. The default timeout is 5 minutes. This means if you do not use any XP_CRYPT functions for 5 minutes all keys will be unloaded and you will have to load them again. You can change timeout time for the current session  with xp_crypt_set_option function.
